Rendered Tough started in a garage in Minnesota, not a boardroom in California. I'm Sam. Marine Corps Veteran, current operator, father of two, and the guy whose hands looked about a decade older than the rest of him for most of his adult life.

I spent eight years in the Marine Corps putting my body through things most people only see in movies. After that I went into the oilfield, where the conditions were different but the damage was the same — sun, wind, chemicals, grease, dry air, and hands that never got a break. By the time I came home at the end of a hitch, my knuckles were split open, my face looked like leather, and my skin was so dried out it hurt to make a fist.
